Our rates are reasonable, we're just down the road from the lake, and we're open year round, no matter what the season. Located on beautiful Scenic Highway 197, near Lake Burton and Lake Rabun, we're close to Alpine Helen, state and national parks, and many popular attractions. Our rooms are cozy and inviting, with kitchens and fireplaces ... decorated with your relaxation in mind ... complete with handcrafted furniture and local crafts. There are good restaurants close by if you want a full breakfast. Big changes are happening at the North 40 Lodge! The quaint little lodge nestled in the mountains by Lake Burton is expanding! Jinger and Bobby are celebrating their 5th year at the Lodge by adding more cozy retreats for guests. Open by Labor Day will be The Holly Bear room, complete with fireplace, king bed (that Jinger's father helped to build!) and the ususal amenities. Plan to spend some restful time in the mountains with us, where we forget to count the days!! Sleep in ... or rock on the porch and enjoy the sounds of the mountains. We have over 12 private acres to walk ... take a picnic, and enjoy the peace and serenitiy of our mountain forests. We're open every day, but have no accommodations for children or pets in our rooms.
